Need for Speed Unbound is approaching its first anniversary. In its first year, five seasons known as Volumes have added new cars and cosmetics, with Volume 5 bringing the BMW M2 Coupe and Buick Grand National GNX.
For players who missed out on previous Need for Speed Unbound Volumes, cars and items in Vol. 3 and 4 can now be bought as DLC in ‘Catch-up packs.’
Need for Speed Unbound Catch-up Packs
Available now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, each Catch-up Pack costs £8.99/$9.99. Up for grabs in the Volume 3 pack are the 2014 Legendary Dodge SRT Viper, 2015 Ford Mustang GT, while the Custom Porsche 911 and 2006 Lotus Exige S are available in the Volume 4 pack. These cars were previously sold in DLC packs, which were since delisted.
The Ford Mustang GT and Lotus Exige S was previously sold as DLC, which is now delisted. However, the Dodge Viper SRT and Porsche 911 Carrera S were free limited-time Speed Pass rewards after you reached a certain. Yes, EA is charging for old cars that used to be free. Again.
Alongside the cars, each pack also includes 74 cosmetics and customisations in each volume, including wheel rims, underglows, wrap editor decals, character apparel, poses, banner art and more.

Will there be a Volume 6 update?
Unbound’s Volume updates have been underwhelming, with only a handful of each cars in each update and minor updates. With Need for Speed Unbound approaching its first anniversary, fans are hoping for a substantial update to celebrate it.
EA hasn’t confirmed anything yet, but Volume updates usually launch every two or three months. Volume 5 launched in early October, so Volume 6 could arrive in early December, coinciding with the game’s first anniversary on 2 December.
