Updates have been pretty regular since F1 Manager 2022 hit the shelves this summer.
The game was great out of the box, but as the first release in a new annual franchise there were some teething issues.
Frontier's excellent Community Managers have provided some fresh information on what players can expect from the next major update that will hit the game.
F1 Manager 2022 update
The first thing to note is that this will be the "last significant update that addresses player-reported feedback, or suggested changes and additions." per a Reddit post on the r/F1Manger subreddit.
This is because resources are shifting focus to F1 Manager 2023.
There are some that will find this a bit early, but given the annual nature of these games and the fact that a lot of community suggestions for improvements are far from quick and easy, it does not mean that Frontier is not still paying attention to feedback.
What's in the next patch?
The next patch will again be making tweaks and improvements to gameplay. The main focus will be the visual car model updates which should improve the unique characteristics of each team.
Fuel usage issues in qualifying are also being addressed, along with the rather buggy 'Estimated Race Time' calculations which are shown pre-race when selecting your tyre strategy.
While this may not seem like much, it is a significant quality-of-life improvement for players.
We have no doubt that bigger issues like unlapping behind a safety car and the depth of car development will be improved in next year's edition of the franchise.
Patch release date
No date has been given for the release of the next patch for F1 Manager 2022.
It will be pushed live when it is ready, but given the level of communication from Frontier staff we can assume that it will be relatively soon.
