Rally Arcade Classics has recently released Precision & Chase, its biggest update yet, introducing manual transmission mode, improving the speedometer, and adding a friends leaderboard.
The update aimed to revolutionize the players' experience, making Rally Arcade Classics even more immersive and authentic, especially for players who love using manual transmission.
So, let's put the pedal to the metal and find out if the Precision & Chase updated managed to reach top speed, or if a flat tire prevented it from being as great as it could.
Everything A Manual Transmission Lover Could Wish For

The Rally Arcade Classics Precision & Chase update is a big hit, as it delivered everything it promised to, and then some more.
Manual transmission was the feature I focused the most on while reviewing the update, as it's the most significant addition in this update by a big margin. As expected, the difference between auto and manual controls is night and day, and if you are not used to manual transmission controls, there will be an adaptation period.
The manual transmission option adds somewhat of a simulation aspect to a game that is intrinsically arcade. You need to switch gears at the right time, adapt to the different types of curves, be much more accurate in how you control/steer the car, all of this while also taking the consideration the car you're driving.
If you are late to switch gears or oversteer in a curve, you will be penalized for it, losing some control of the car, just like what happens in real life. So, a race that is slightly difficult in auto will be a true challenge in manual, especially if you aren't used to manual mode.
The new speedometer is a fantastic complementary addition to the manual mode. You need to pay attention to it almost at all times, as the revs will tell you when to change gears, something that you can struggle with in the begining ig you are new to manual mode, but after a few races it will feel like second nature.
One of my biggest fears about the Precision & Chase update was that it made Rally Arcade Classics too hard or extremely challenging, taking away the fun from it. But I think it does the exact opposite; it adds a layer of challenge that makes you want to improve and perfect your driving, making the game even more enjoyable.
The friends leaderboard also helps in this regard, as comparing your time to your friends' times will naturally make you want to improve and beat them, adding a side of friendly competition that's very fun and that every racing game should have.
If, for some reason, manual mode isn't for you, no problem, you can still enjoy Rally Arcade Classics with the traditional auto mode. There is plenty of content in the game for you to unlock and go through. So even when you unlock all of it in automode, you can still challenge yourself to do the same in manual mode, which, believe me, is not that easy.
It's hard to want more from an update than what the Precision & Chase update delivered. This update will certainly attract many manual mode players to Rally Arcade Classics, opening the door to a new player base that can help the game continue to grow.
If you are looking for a racing game, especially a rally one, that is incredibly fun but also challenging, offering both auto and manual mode, and with a lot of content for you to experience, then you should definitely try Rally Arcade Classics.
