rFactor 2 is one of the definitive sim racers of our time, and has a mountain of updates every year.
This time, we've got Studio 397's plan for November, and the content that will be released.
With some exciting new features (and races) on the way, as well as a new track, let's take a look at what rFactor 2 fans can look forward to!
WTF1 Spa-Francorchamps Races
Yes, you read that right. rFactor 2 is partnering up with WTF1 for some awesome races on the new circuit.
The headline event will be the WTF1 3H Invitational on December 4. This will include your favourite sim-racers as well as some real-life racing legends.
The main event is backed up by two shorter support races, both of which are filled with drivers from the community.
With races galore, you'll have plenty to watch over the coming days on the new circuit.
Sales
The Steam sale is still here, so grab some bargains while you can!
The Autumn Sale means that many expansion packs are 50% off, and the Track Expansion Pack is 25% off.
Act fast o=if you want to take advantage of some exciting offers on that Car Pack you've always wanted.
Competition System
This system will be starting out as a beta. At first, it will allow users to race in a competition every day, at a time slot of their choosing.
Once complete, the racers will be ranked by a local rating system to determine who was the fastest overall across all the time slots.
This means that, soon, players will be able to compete in rFactor 2 every single day!
Looking Ahead - 2021 Roadmap
The studio has a number of plans for the future, all of which we like the look of.
These are a Ratings System, protests and decision, more competition formats, roles and team-based driving, broadcast integration and offline championships.
This transition to the competition system opens up a host of options for the Studio, as seen above. However, all users musts be on the new UI.
Track Remasters
Following on from the revisits to Silverstone and the Nurburgring's various layouts, some new tracks are due a visit.
This time, the tracks will be Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Portland International Speedway.
Indianapolis will be updated to the latest PBR and Materials and Portland will receive a sizeable update in December also.
Cars
The latest cars to join the sim are both exciting additions.
The first will be the RCCO eX_ZERO_2020, designed with DTM Champion Mike Rockenfeller. This electric beast will be sure to blow your socks off!
Secondly, and still under testing, is the Cadillac DPi-V.R. This car will hopefully be ready for us soon also.
Sim Formula Europe
The racing sim series is back with a bang next January.
There is plenty up for grabs, including the latest sim racing gear and even a percentage of the 10,000 EU prize pool.
With hotlap qualification running from December 3-13, get ready to be on top form!
