Rocket League Season 10 kicks off today. Yes, we’re ten seasons in and Rocket League is showing no signs of slowing down.
From a new Rocket Pass to a new stadium variant and tournament rewards, Psyonix has revealed all the details you need to know about Rocket League Season 10.
The latest Rocket League patch update is also out, bringing a useful new quality-of-life feature.
Rocket League Season 10 start time
Rocket League Season 10 is set to kick off at 4pm GMT / 8am PST / 11am EST / 5pm CEST.
Rocket Pass
With the launch of Season 10 comes a new Rocket Pass. This time, Rocket Pass holders can access the Volkswagen Golf GTI, which makes its Rocket League debut. Specifically, it’s based on the MK2 version of the hot hatchback that was iconic in the 1980s.
While the base car is available immediately for Rocket Pass Premium holders, an upgraded Volkswagen Golf GTI RLE variant can also be unlocked by levelling up the tiers. Its nippy handling should make it a formidable car on the pitch.
As standard, the Golf GTI comes with a realistic set of wheels, but you can kit it out with a variety of paint finishes, decals, antennas and goal explosions in the Item shop.
This isn’t the first time a real licensed car has featured in a Rocket League season update. Someone at Psyonix clearly has a soft spot for hot hatchbacks, because the Honda Civic Type R joined Rocket League in Season 8.
New arena variant
You can’t have a new Rocket League season without a new arena. Season 10 introduces a new Oasis variant of the dusty Deadeye Canyon arena.
For convenience, Season 10 introduces a new average wait time counter that replaces the playlist population display, allowing players to see the estimated queue time for the next match.
New tournament rewards include the Scalescore Decal, Ramen Bowl Topper, Spaceman Antenna and Polyhedral Goal Explosion. Players who entered Competitive Tournaments during Season 9 will receive an All-Star Cup reward.
Psyonix is also teasing a new Limited Time Mode where “garages around the world have reported an influx of cars where there were once barren lots.” Sounds like the Golf GTI isn’t the only new car coming to Season 10.
