Superbikes are coming to PlayStation! For the first time since the days of the PlayStation 3, there will be an official SBK game on Sony's home consoles. SBK 22 will be released later this year, but what can PlayStation gamers expect?
SBK 22 on PlayStation
SBK 22 is unsurprisingly going to be released on PlayStation 5. This is the most advanced system that Sony make can handle the processing power required for SBK 22.
What about PS4 though? The system is almost ten years old now, but it's still receiving new games for it. That will continue to be the case for SBK 22 as well, as both the next and previous generations of console will be getting the game.
Those that buy the game on either PS4 or PS5 will also be able to play the game on the other system. This will be at no extra cost, but does mean you'll need a disc version of the PS5 to take advantage of this.
As for what the game will look like on PS5, we haven't seen much in terms of gameplay so far, but we can make some assumptions. On PS5, SBK 22 will likely run in 4K and at 60 frames per second.
The PS4 version won't be able to handle that level of graphics, but it should be able to output in full HD (1080p) without difficulty.
Release Date
SBK 22 will be released worldwide on September 15, 2022. SBK 22 will be released on PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Series X|S and PC via the Steam Store.
