Milestone’s oustanding post-release support for Hot Wheels Unleashed is showing no signs of slowing down.
A new Looney Tunes expansion has just launched, adding a new environment and a collection of cars inspired by iconic characters from the beloved cartoon. If that wasn’t enough, the latest monthly DLC update adds another three new cars, along with 11 retro game-themed customisation items, and a track builder module.
New cars
Three new cars inspired by iconic characters are available to download in Pass Vol. 3. These include the half-man, half-plant superhero Swamp Thing, with the car’s bonnet and intake resembling the DC Comics character’s slimy face.
Joining Swamp Thing is Skeletor from He-Man immortalised in Hot Wheels Unleashed as a purple, yellow, and blue hot rod. The windscreen resembles Skeletor’s sinister red eyes striking fear into your opponents.
The evil Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles rounds off the new cars available in Hot Wheels Unleashed this month. The main villain of the TMNT franchise, Shredder takes the form of a silver fastback with spikes inspired by his armour.
Each car costs £1.69 or is included in the Hot Wheels Vol.3.
Retro Game Customisation Pack
As well as new cars, a new Retro Game Customisation Pack is available as part of the July monthly DLC update. Retro wall, floor, and door decorations make your Basement look like an old-school video game arcade.
Available for £0.79 or as part of Hot Wheels Unleashed Pass Vol.3, The Retro Game Customisation Pack includes the following items:
For the Basement
- 2 walls
- 2 floors
- 1 door
- 1 decoration
- 1 couch
- 1 set of 4 posters
For the Unleashed Profile
- 1 icon
- 1 tag
- 1 background
Finally, the July DLC also includes a Zero Gravity Checkpoint Module that makes your car float in the air and refills your boost. It’s available for £2.49 or as part of Hot Wheels Unleashed Pass Vol.3.
