Stampede Racing Royale Early Access Date Revealed

Stampede: Racing Royale is what happens when Mario Kart meets Fall Guys. With its chaotic 60-player lobbies competing over multiple race modes, the game has been tipped to arrive on Steam Early Access later this year. But when exactly will Stampede: Racing Royale be available to play?

Well, we now have the answer.

Stampede: Racing Royale Early Access date revealed

Stampede: Racing Royale’s Steam listing has confirmed the date the game will enter Steam Early Access. Featuring in this week’s Gamescom Into The Infinite Showcase, a new trailer also revealed the date Stampede: Racing Royale will arrive in Early Access.

Stampede: Racing Royale screeches into Early Access on 2 November. After a successful first Steam Playtest period, developers Sumo Leamington used the feedback obtained to shape the game ready for Early Access. In the Steam listing, Sumo Leamington states that Early Access "is the next major milestone for Stampede: Racing Royale".

Sumo Leamington also confirmed that Stampede: Racing Royale will remain in development during its time in Early Access. This will see themed seasons, new maps and content, and limited-time events and challenges added to the game.

Stampede: Racing Royale second playtest adds friends and parties

Stampede: Racing Royale entered its second Steam Playtest this week, with new features added to increase the chaos. Friends and a party system are now included, allowing players to connect with their Steam friends. A party of up to five players can also be created through Steam invites.

The kart collision effects and physics have also been tweaked, fixing an issue with kart behaviour after making contact. This has been combined with other minor fixes to provide a more predictable experience for players.
