Nacon Racing has revealed their plans for the future of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, announcing their Year 2 roadmap. Developers explained what new features will arrive at the game, how they will impact it, and their priorities going forward.
Information from Season 4 to Season 8 was revealed, showcasing Nacon Racing's big plans for the latest entry in the Test Drive Unlimited franchise.
Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown Season 4
The Season 4 update of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown will introduce plenty of quality-of-life improvements, network and gameplay stability fixes, new types of races, and the addition of the Casino.
In Season, the Navigation and Convoy type mission will be added, a new racing type called Stock Races, where players can only use factory cars, as well as five new cars.
Without a doubt, the Casino is the biggest feature arriving in the game in Season 4, and will allow players to wager virtual currency on things such as slots and poker, for a chance to win special rewards like exclusive cars, cosmetics, avatars, and more.
Another new thing in Season 4 is the Solar Pass premium circuit, which can be acquired with Diamonds, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown's new currency. A new circuit will also be made available for all players for free.

Season 5
Season 5 begins in October and marks the highly anticipated return of the taxi missions from the original Test Drive Unlimited.
But that's not all, a new online store will be added, new vehicles will arrive at the game, the in-game economy will be rebalanced, and the KT Engine will receive a significant upgrade that will improve both performance and graphics.
In Season 5, the Solar Pass premium circuit won't be free, but players will be able to acquire it with Diamonds from Season 4. This wil be the standart for every season onwards.
Season 6
The Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown Season 6 stars in January 2026, starting the year in the best way possible. Season 6 is mainly focused on community-driven features, as players will be invited to vote on which mission they would want to see added to the game.
There are four types of mission players can vote on: Detective, Delivery, Photography, and Adrenaline. While Season 6 only starts in January 2026, voting opens on August 4, 2025.
Developers will reveal more details about the quality of life improvements coming to Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown in Season 6 in the future.
Season 7
Season 7 kicks off in April 2026 and will add the Official Racing Centers, which are two locations on Hong Kong Island and Ibiza, dedicated to "enriching players' multiplayer and PvP experience".
The Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown live events, as well as the Solar Pass, will be revamped, as is the case in all seasons.
Season 8
Last but certainly not least, Season 8 of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown starts in July and marks the return of a historic feature in the franchise, the Housing / Real Estate market.
Season 8 will also bring two new types of missions: Extreme and Passenger mode. As of right now, we don't know more about these two new types of missions coming in Season 8, but more information will be revealed soon.
Plans for the Future of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crow
Apart from everything mentioned above, the Future of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crow team continues to work hard on highly requested features by players, such as cross-region play, crossplay, and offline mode.
Optimizing the game engine is also one of the main concerns of the developers, as well as improving the sound effects for all vehicles in the game.
