The Crew Motorfest’s car roster continues to expand, with two German cars joining the Year 1 Pass today: the Audi Scotto's Coupe Quattro and Volkswagen Electric R. Both are legendary hillclimb cars you rarely see in racing games.
Audi Scotto's Coupe Quattro
Continuing Season 2's Hoonigan theme, the custom Audi Quattro is owned by Hoonigan co-founder Brian Scotto. It started life as a standard 1990 Audi Quattro before being transformed into a hillclimb monster. On the outside, Scotto’s dream hillclimber sports a limited edition widebody kit made by Germany’s Prior Design.
Under the bonnet, Audi’s 2.2-litre, inline five-cylinder engine has been stroked up to 2.5-litres, with a turbocharger that can deliver 850 hp - 1,100 hp depending on the setup.
First shown at SEMA 2021, the custom Quattro is ready to tackle hillclimb races across America including Pikes Peak, and you can now put it through its paces in The Crew Motorfest.
2019 Volkswagen ID.R
While the Audi Scotto Coupe Quattro was originally a road car, the Volkswagen ID.R is a purpose-built time attack car. Unlike the combustion-powered Quattro, the ID.R is all-electric, with two electric motors combining to produce 680 hp. This setup allows the ID.R to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under two seconds – faster than a modern F1 car.
Thanks to its incredible performance and engineering, Volkswagen’s first fully electric race car holds numerous records at famous circuits, setting record lap times at the Nurburgring, Pikes Peak, and the Goodwood Festival of Speed Hillclimb.
While the ID.R was recently added to Gran Turismo 7, the record-breaking electric racecar isn't in Forza Motorsport or Forza Horizon 5. Apart from Forza Horizon 4, The Crew Motorfest is the only open-world racer that lets you drive VW's extraordinary track racer.
Year 1 Pass
Both cars are available seven days early as part of the Year 1 Pass and should be capable of climbing the volcano summit in The Crew Motorfest’s O'ahu. Included with the Gold and Ultimate editions, the Year 1 Pass will add 25 cars in the first year, with two cars each month.
In addition to the Audi Scotto's Coupé Quattro and Volkswagen ID.R, the Year 1 Pass has so far added cars such as the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, and 2023 Nissan Z.
After the February car drop, 12 more Year 1 Pass cars are coming between March and August, with Season 3 set to start in March. Season 3’s theme hasn’t been announced yet but we should find out later this month.
