Another new car arrives in The Crew Motorfest, and this one is pretty special. As of today, you can now take a car with an arachnid name for a spin around the beautiful Hawaiian landscape.

Riding in style

First launched in 2021, the Ferrari F8 Spider has been dubbed ‘the evolution of the species’ by Ferrari themselves. With an incredible 3.9 litre V8 engine, the best-performing V8 engine ever made, this beautiful car fits in perfectly in the world of The Crew Motorfest.

Under the bonnet, the F8 Spider's epic V8 produces 720 hp, making O’ahu feel tiny as you fly across the landscape. No longer will you need to switch to a plane to cover the ground - just switch to the Spider and you’ll be there in no time.

That’s not what makes the F8 Spider stand out in Motorfest, however. Missing from Forza Horizon 5, Forza Motorsport, and even Gran Turismo 7, this is the Spider’s debut in a console and PC racing title. This makes this a real coup for Ubisoft, bagging a Ferrari before anyone else.

The Ferrari F8 Spider is available in The Crew Motorfest from 11 January. The Ferrari isn’t part of the Year 1 Car Pass, so it's available to all players in Hawaii.

The Crew delisted on all platforms

Ubisoft, in a surprise move, has delisted The Crew from digital stores for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The servers are also scheduled to shut down later this year in another huge blow to fans.

Licensing constraints and server maintenance fees are the main reasons given for the servers shutting down, with Ubisoft stating the decommissioning of the game has become a necessity. Strangely, however, the demo of The Crew is still available to download despite its delisting.

Sadly, once the servers are shut down, the game will forever be unplayable. With an online connection needed at all times for the game to function, this once again highlights the downside of live service or ‘always online’ video games.
