After months of rumours and speculation, Ubisoft has unveiled The Crew Motorfest, a new open-world action driving game replacing The Crew 3.
The new title from Ubisoft Ivory Tower comes nine years after the release of The Crew 2, which has been one of the best-supported racing games of all time with a huge amount of post-launch content keeping players coming back.

Welcome to Hawaii
While previous games in the franchise were set in a massive open-world recreation of the entire US, The Crew Motorfest takes place on the island of O‘ahu in Hawaii, just as rumours suggested.
Motorfest is described as a "one-of-a-kind festival" allowing players to "enjoy the best experiences car culture has to offer" with races, themed events, and challenges.
The picturesque setting provides a variety of areas to explore with other players, from the city streets of Honolulu to lush rainforests, drifting down mountain roads, or a leisurely cruise across a sunny beach.
This setup sounds a lot like Forza Horizon. But unlike Forza Horizon, The Crew Motorfest is multiplatform, meaning it can reach a wider audience.

Release date
There’s no release date yet, but The Crew Motorfest is set for a 2023 release date on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
With communication from Ubisoft suggesting a months-long build to release we don't expect the release to be in June at the very earliest.
It's likely that The Crew Motorfest won't arrive until much later in 2023 though, perhaps around November for the Christmas rush.
