The Crew Motorfest Season 2 is just around the corner. Starting on 6 December, the next season update will have a Hoonigan theme. After teasing a map expansion, Ubisoft has outlined some quality-of-life changes coming in Season 2.
The Crew Motorfest Season 2 quality of life changes revealed
The Crew Motorfest Season 2 will address several issues in response to community feedback. As you explore the island of Ohau, AI ghost cars roam around the map. These ghost cars can be distracting, but Season 2 will let you switch them off.
In another welcome change, Season 2 will also add an option to turn off the annoying Cara AI assistant, who constantly interrupts the gameplay. It’s about time. Additionally, Season 2 will add the ability switch parts between vehicles of the same category and improve the reward flow.
“We have reworked it to give you all a better understanding of the rewards you get after your activities, we've shortened the duration, and this new flow will allow you to compare yourself with your friends”, a blog post reads.
As for PvP multiplayer, new paths will be added to the Grand Race as well as an anti-AFK mode and we'd like to go further in our next seasons. Ubisoft says the focus is on “improving the quality of the existing experience before adding new layers to it.” Speaking of multiplayer, Ubisoft also confirmed that crossplay multiplayer won’t be added to free roam due to “tech limitations.”
Season 2 will also bring changes to livery reporting and loot. The upcoming The Crew Motorfest Season 2 patch notes will reveal more details next week.
The Crew Motorfest Season 2 reveal date confirmed
The Crew Motorfest Season 2 will be revealed on 5 December. A new teaser video confirms that one of the new cars will be the electric Audi S1 Hoonitron. This will coincide with Electrikhana Two, the final Gymkhana video filmed before Ken Block’s tragic death premiering in December. Ken Block’s insane Hoonicorn RTR Mustang from Gymkhana Seven will also be part of Season 2’s roster.
A map expansion was also teased with a new island featuring a Hoonigan building. Motorfest’s smaller map was one of the main criticisms from long-time players, so a new area to explore will be welcome.
The Crew Motorfest Season 2 kicks off on 6 December. If you haven’t ventured into Oahu for a while, Season 2’s quality of life improvements and new content will be the perfect excuse to revisit The Crew Motorfest.
