The Crew Motorfest Summer Showcase has given us some juicy new details to chew on ahead of the game's release.
The Crew Motorfest's release date is getting closer and closer, so the excitement and hype is really ramping up now! We can't wait to explore the beautiful Hawaiian island of O'ahu later this year.
So, what exactly got revealed in The Crew Motorfest's Summer Showcase? We've got everything you need to know right here!
The Crew Motorfest: Summer Showcase
The Crew Summer Showcase video opens up with a wide shot of several vehicles racing against each other through mountain passes, city streets and dusty deserts.
There's a lot of different racers on show here, including rally cars, dirt bikes, muscle cars and a Formula 1 car! For the F1 nerds out there, it looks to be Daniel Ricciardo's 2017 Red Bull that is shown in this video.
The Crew Motorfest's Creative Director Stephane Beley hands the mic to Brand Director Delphine Dosset. She begins by introducing us to some of the brands of the cars we can expect to be tearing up the streets of Hawaii in.
Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Maserati, Nissan, Ford, Audi, Corvette and more are all included in the game's extensive car list.
Motorfest Events
As was confirmed at Ubisoft Forward earlier this month, your The Crew 2 car collection will be available to import into The Crew Motorfest when you start the game.
We then got our first proper look at what exactly the Motorfest is. Festivals are made up of event playlists that you choose how to tackle. On the online side of things, hourly events are available to compete against your friends in.
The video showed us Grand Race and Demolition Royale, both of which look like a lot of fun!
In addition to this, a fresh set of events will be available every month from the Motorfest Main Stage. Month one focuses on American cars, month two on Japanese cars and month three is based on European racers.
These events also involve some of the most popular content creators and best tuners on the planet. If you fancy yourself as one of the best The Crew players out there, you can put your skills to the test against the Elites to win a spot in the Motorfest Hall of Fame.
Motorfest Seasons
New Seasons are introduced every four months, in which the focus of car culture changes. So, during the first year of Motorfest's life, we'll see three seasons.
Season 2 of The Crew Motorfest will involve the input of Hoonigan, one of the most prestigious names in the car tuning scene!
The Crew Motorfest's Year 1 pass will be available from day one of the game's launch. 25 new cars will be heading your way, including two exclusives.
After the success of the Insider Program, the Closed Beta for the game is now available to register for. This will take place between 21st and 23rd July and is open to PC gamers as well as players on Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5.
The Crew 2
The Crew 2 also got more than a mention, as this year marks the game's fifth anniversary. Producer Olivier Gueydon showed off the three updates that have come to the game so far in 2023.
New cars and circuits have made their way to the game in recent times.
On 5th July, the Americans Legends update will go live. This will bring new stories and events for players to enjoy. Players will also be able to make their own in-game races too. Is this a sign of things to come for Motorfest?
Between 6th and 10th July as well, The Crew 2 will be absolutely free to play, so if you've never played this game before, you won't get a better chance than this!
