Ubisoft shut down The Crew servers in March 2024, preventing players from enjoying the original The Crew game in any capacity, something that was logically met with a lot of disappointment and anger from the community.

Fortunately, a group of talented modders created The Crew Unlimited, a project that aimed to create a server emulator that would make it possible for players to experience The Crew both offline and online once again. After a little bit over a year, the dream is now a reality!

Rejoice, The Crew fans, racing game fans, and video game fans as a whole, as The Crew Unlimited project is live. This is huge news for the gaming community, as the shutdown of The Crew servers was something unprecedented, marking the first time a huge AAA game was made completely inaccessible.

The Crew fans were left without the chance to play their favorite game, as there was no support for an offline mode. That changed today, as The Crew Unlimited project is now fully running, allowing fans to play the game, including all the DLCs, on both Steam and Uplay.

The TCU team will make further announcements about the mode soon, with the mode expected to be supported for as long as possible. A big win for The Crew fans and the general video game community, which showcases how much a dedicated community can do.

Fans can already download the TCU Launcher and use it to get their game up and running.
