The Lionheart is coming to HBO Max later this month. This documentary film will shed new light on Dan Wheldon, a very popular figure in IndyCar before his tragically young death.
The film will also focus on his widow Susie and their two children Sebastian and Oliver, as the young pair begin their careers in karting. It's sure to be an emotional one - here's what you need to know.
The Lionheart
Sports documentaries like Drive to Survive and racing films based on real-life events are very popular right now. It's been a while since we've had something like The Lionheart, though, and you'd have to go back to Senna in 2010 to be close to this.
The Lionheart will undoubtedly feature never-before-seen footage covering the successful and tragically short career of British racing driver Dan Wheldon.
Wheldon raced in IndyCar from 2002 until his death in 2011. His two sons, who have official backing from Andretti Autosport, one of Wheldon's former teams, carry on his legacy.
It'll be fascinating to see another side of Wheldon and to catch up with the developments with his family since his passing.
Release date and trailer
In the US, The Lionheart will premiere on HBO Max on 12 March. There's no confirmed release date for the UK yet, but it will likely be available on Sky if it launches here.
If you haven't seen it yet, the emotional trailer is linked below for you to watch:
