Thrustmaster and Polyphony Digital partnership is now 16 years long and is built on both sides' desire to deliver the ultimate sim racing experience.

It takes another step in that direction, as Thrustmaster now becomes an official Gran Turismo World Series partner and will continue to help enhance the driving experience of players.

Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of the Gran Turismo series, had the following to say about the new chapter of this over a decade-old partnership:

"We have a long-standing partnership with THRUSTMASTER, who, over the years, have remained faithful to Gran Turismo by offering solutions which enhance the driving experience."

"The journey we’ve taken together has allowed us to extend the desired sensations through a steering wheel as technology and the game have evolved. We are delighted to welcome them as partners of Gran Turismo World Series.”

Gilles Raulet, Director of Development and Licensing at Thrustmaster, shared the same excitement:

"Meeting Gran Turismo’s exacting standards is no small feat. In the 16 years we’ve been working together, Yamauchi-san’s motto has remained a commitment to the game in every sense of the word."

"This collaboration continues to inspire our teams year after year because passion remains at the heart of our discussions"

With the announcement of this new chapter between Thrustmaster and Polyphony Digital, also came the unveiling of the brand-new and Officially Licensed Gran Turismo 7 Steering Wheel, Thrustmaster T-GT III.

The wheel, which is a PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 exclusive, is the first Gran Turismo-designed wheel to feature Direct Axial Drive and to natively integrate a load-cell pedal set.

The Direct Axial Drive is inspired by the motor architecture of the best hypercars, which allows it to deliver a constant torque of 5 Nm with an overshoot capacity of up to 10 Nm.

This guarantees the T-GT III has low latency and instant responsiveness for an authentic driving experience.

The T-GT III also introduces two new haptic effects, Gear Jolt and Engine Roar, allowing players to feel every gear shift and listen to the engine roar as it reaches new RPMs.

The T-GT III bundle, which includes the T-GT steering wheel with leather finishing and four rotary encoders, will be available for €699.99/ 749.99$ from December 3.

According to Thrustmaster, the T-GT III is expected to be available worldwide before Christmas.
