Genki's legendary drive ’em-up series finally saw its first release in over two decades last year. It initially only launched on PC, and now Tokyo Xtreme Racer has a definitive release date for the PlayStation 5 version.

The PS5 launch also brings three brand-new cars and several features to the racer. Yes, all of this will be added to other platforms at a later date.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer PS5 Release and Price Details

The PlayStation 5 version of Tokyo Xtreme Racer will release on February 25, 2026. It'll be available digitally and is priced at $49.99 / £39.99.

Currently, the physical version is only planned for release in Asia. The physical version will cost you a couple of dollars more. No timeline has been provided by Genki for the global release, just that it is 'undecided.'

Tokyo Xtreme Racer New Features and Cars

Tokyo Xtreme Racer will receive new features and three cars as the PlayStation 5 port launches. These will be available for PC later, but we do not have an exact release date yet.

  • Addition of the Replay Feature
  • Addition of the Music Select Feature

Genki also confirmed that this is not the last of car drops for the racer, "While the scale of vehicle additions is limited, we will continue development efforts with future expansions in mind."
