Top Forza Horizon streamer reportedly quits game

One of the Forza community's best-known players is rumoured to have given up on Forza Horizon 5. The game's number one player in terms of accolades and most successful YouTuber has apparently had enough.

Here's why the Forza world would be sorry to lose Don Joewon Song.

Who is Don Joewon Song?

Don Joewon Song, real name Joe Leech, is a well-known Forza player from the UK. He has been producing video guides for the Forza Horizon games for over six years. In that time, DJS has grown to be one of the most discussed personalities in the Forza community.

He was briefly banned from Forza Horizon 4 in error last year, causing his many tunes and liveries to disappear from the game. Maybe this has also contributed to him losing patience with the Forza team recently.

Forza Horizon 5 frustrations

DJS was one of the loudest voices complaining about multiplayer in Forza Horizon 5. We've found the game to be a frustrating experience. While many of the visuals are stunning and the range of cars is fantastic, playing online has brought challenges. After Joe took to Twitter to draw attention to the issues, the developers finally responded and gave more transparency about the coming patches.

The fact is, any big game needs its star players in this day and age. Whether it's Twitch streamers producing broadcast content for viewers or it's Youtube guides and tuners helping people get more out of their own playing, these characters are essential. They can make or break the success of a game and this is why studios are so keen to keep them happy and let them know about updates ahead of time.

What's next for Forza Horizon?

I suspect this Forza Horizon 5 exile for Don Joewon Song won't last forever. It's hard to give up on a hobby that you've been involved in for so long. It must be especially difficult to give up on such a vast audience! But it's clear that the game hasn't brought much joy to Joe since the new release. As his YouTube bio says, "If you're not having fun while playing.. You're simply playing it wrong!"
