Where to watch & stream the Mexico City Grand Prix
The Mexico City Grand Prix takes place at the historic Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in the heart of Mexico City.
First held in 1962, the Mexican Grand Prix disappeared from the Formula 1 calendar from 1971-1985 and again in 1993. Formula 1 returned to an altered Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in 2015 and the race became the Mexico City Grand Prix for the 2020 season.
Only five drivers have ever won this Grand Prix multiple times. F1 icon Jim Clark has won in Mexico three times, along with newly crowned double champion Max Verstappen, who won last year's race here. Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, and Lewis Hamilton have won it twice.
This year the Mexico City Grand Prix could be a record-breaker, as Verstappen chases the record for most wins in a season. He is currently tied with Michael Schumacher (2004) and Sebastian Vettel (2013) at 13 wins, and has three more opportunities to surpass the record. Given the overall strength of both Verstappen and the Red Bull Racing rocketship it seems likely to happen.
