Back in April, Monster Games announced a new officially-licensed World of Outlaws game is in development for the first time in over ten years after the former NASCAR Heat studio was acquired by iRacing.
A few months later, the first World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing trailer has landed, revealing new gameplay footage of Monster Games’ dirt racer.
World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing teaser trailer
Shown during the opening round of the iRacing World of Outlaws ButtKicker Late Model Series, the 30-second teaser trailer showcases cars from the Sprint Car, Late Model, and Street Stock championships battling it out in the dirt.
In total, World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing will feature 40 tracks, 13 of which are officially licensed.
World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing utilises iRacing assets including art and an improved physics model. Notably, this marks the first time a console racing game will use iRacing assets.
While the teaser trailer is brief, a World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing gameplay trailer will be released next month ahead of the game’s September release.
Release date
As well as revealing the first gameplay footage, Monster Games has confirmed the World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing release date. World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on 27 September. With no plans for a PC release, it will be a console exclusive.
Considering the World of Outlaws motorsport is only in America, it's not clear if World of Outlaws: Dirt Racing will be released outside of the US.
