Wreckfest: Getaway Tournament update and PC patch goes live

Since launching in 2018, BugBear's Wreckfest has kept us entertained with new tracks, car packs, and Tournament updates.

If you're in the mood for some lighthearted banger racing before Gran Turismo 7 launches later this week, Bugbear has announced that March’s Getaway Chase Tournament is now live. As always, the latest Tournament brings new monthly and weekly challenges as well as new modified cars in the tournament shop.

Getaway Chase Tournament

Following January’s snow-themed event, March’s Getaway Chase Tournament brings the action back to Hillstreet, an urban circuit packed with tight turns and massive hills. The latest season challenge has you speeding through as many checkpoints as you can in a race-prepped Tristar within the time limit. This event will be live for the next two months.

You're supposed to avoid the taxis, but smashing into them is a lot more fun!

To make things more challenging, you’re given less time after each lap. At the same time, you need to avoid taxi cabs driving around the circuit that block the best racing line and get in your way.

As for the weekly events, there’s a mix of demolition racing and intense time trials with the Rocket RX.

New bundles have also been added to the tournament shop. Available for 20,000 Fame points, the new Tristar bundle is based on the same car you drive in the tournament event. A new Speeddemon bundle is also available for 10,000 Fame points. It will take a while to save up enough Fame points, so get wrecking.
