Assetto Corsa Competizione Update Adds Free Ford Mustang GT3

After console players hit the Nurburgring last week, a surprise Assetto Corsa Competizione has added a brand-new car to the race. In a change to the usual car additions, this car is free for Assetto Corsa Competizione players to use, but there is a small catch.

The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car is a true example of American power. With its 5.4-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, this monster has the potential to dominate any rival on the track.

The Mustang GT3 is the result of a collaboration between Ford and M-Sport. Together, they have created a formidable racer capable of winning any race in front of it.

Its carbon fiber construction and rear-mounted gearbox make it lightweight and nimble through every corner. Thanks to the bespoke short-long arm suspension system, you can really throw this into the apex.

Then there’s the aero package. With a setup designed to maximize downforce while reducing drag, the Mustang GT3 delivers the ultimate traction even at top speed.

So the Mustang GT3 is the perfect racecar, and now thanks to the work by Kunos Simulazioni it’s joined the ever-growing car list in Assetto Corsa Competizione for free - but only for certain players.

Ford Mustang GT3 available now in Assetto Corsa Competizione

The Ford Mustang GT3 Race Car has been added in a free update for Assetto Corsa Competizione. This means you don't need to buy a DLC pack to take the Mustang for a spin.

There is one drawback, however. At the time of writing, the update is only available on PC, meaning console players once again have to wait in the pit lane for the update to come to PlayStation and Xbox.

Kunos hasn't confirmed when or if the Mustang GT3 will be coming to consoles, but PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players hopefully won't have to wait too long. For PC players, though, this is a great addition to ACC.
