QUICK ESCAPE: Siggy had to take evasive action, but would this move cost BMW the race?

Sensibly, Siggy let Brzezinski through into Pouhon and Siggy was also the first to pit and change drivers at the end of Lap 1. Michael Romanidis was up next for BMW and had time to make up. BMW played their joker with Romanidis and Williams pitted for Martin Stefanko to take over driving duties.

Williams still led, but by only just over a second, it would all be down to the final lap. Niko Wisniewski had the Williams in the last lap, but a mistake into Les Combes put Felix Quirmbach right on his gearbox. The Pole held firm though, and Williams drew first blood in this contest.

BMW fight back

BMW locked out the front row for the team race with Siggy and Romanidis starting P1 and P2. Williams got off the line extremely well though, with Brzezisnki and Stefanko moving up to second and third, respectively.

Wisniewki then got a monumental slipstream and flew into P3, but Stefanko fell to fifth.

On Lap 2, Romanidis passed Wisniewski for third into La Source, but the Polish driver got back past again on the run up to Les Combes. Lap 3 saw controversy, as four cars were battling up the Kemmel straight. It ended with Quirmbach spinning Wisniewski out, but he didn't yield the position.

Siggy was clear at the front and Wisniewski was cut adrift at the back. This decided the race in BMW's favour, as they drew level 1-1 in the tie.

Scintillating Silverstone

Kevin Siggy got off to the perfect start in the relay race in his BMW, as he held first into Turn 1. Kuba Brzezinski was all over the back of the Beemer though, but wasn't able to find a place to pass. Siggy pitted at the end of the first lap, as Brzezinski stayed out and played Williams' joker.

Stefanko was attempting to follow his teammate through in Luffield, but Romanidis held firm. At the back, Quirmbach and Nikodem Wisnieski were having a ding-dong battle with the former staying ahead through Lap 2.

The order stablised and BMW had a clear advantage in the points. Despite the best efforts of Brzezinski and Stefanko, they couldn't overtake and BMW took a huge 3-1 win over Williams!

This victory meant that BMW climbed to the summit of Group B with six points to their name. Williams dropped to P2, but only a point behind BMW at the top.
