The third entry in the F1 Manager series is hitting the grid this year, but will your PC be able to run a whole F1 team?

Despite not yet being officially announced, Frontier is contracted to produce F1 Manager games until at least 2025. So with F1 Manager 2024 already in the wind tunnel, let’s take a look at both the minimum and recommended PC specs, and where you can buy F1 Manager 2024.

F1 Manager 2024 PC

Just like with F1 teams, no two gaming PCs are the same. With so many components available, on a wide range of budgets, it’s crucial to build a rig capable of running even the most taxing racing titles.

With PC technology evolving like a mid-season upgrade package, and the F1 Manager series utilising Unreal Engine 5, you need more than your average PC to run the game. So let’s take a look at what you’ll need to run F1 Manager 2024.

Minimum specs

Let’s start with the minimum specs needed for the game. Without these, you won’t be able to run F1 Manager 2024 at all. We don’t yet have the minimum specs for F1 Manager 2024, but fortunately, we do have them for F1 Manager 2023.

This means F1 Manager 2024’s minimum specs should be the same or slightly higher than these values:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit (Version 21H1 or higher)
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4590 or AMD FX-8370
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 or AMD R9 280x (3GB VRAM)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 30 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

The specifications listed above are the bare minimum requirements to run F1 Manager 2024 on PC. To run the game at its full potential, you'll need to upgrade those backmarker parts.

Below are the recommended specifications for F1 Manager 2023. We expect these to be similar to or slightly lower than F1 Manager 2024’s:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit (Version 21H1 or higher)
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-7700 or AMD Ryzen 7 2700
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 or AMD RX 580 (4GB VRAM)
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Network: Broadband Internet connection
  • Storage: 30 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX Compatible

With F1 Manager 2024 likely to be available on last-gen as well as current-gen consoles, this does bump down the PC specs. If, however, the game is revealed to be a current-gen-only title, both the minimum and recommended specs may increase as a result.

Where can I buy F1 Manager 2024?

The official retailers for F1 Manager 2024 haven’t been officially confirmed yet, but we can make an educated guess based on F1 Manager 2023.

Last year’s entry was available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. We don’t expect this to change this year, so these should be the places to go to buy F1 Manager 2024.

Other major retailers in the UK, including Amazon and GAME, should also be stocking the physical edition of the game for the completionists out there looking to add to their disc collections.

Release date

Once the game has been officially announced, we expect pre-orders for F1 Manager 2024 to become available. As for the release date, we’ve been studying the F1 2024 calendar and we have a rough estimate as to when the game will launch.

Both F1 Manager 2022 and F1 Manager 2023 were released the week after the Belgian Grand Prix. If this tradition is to continue, we can expect F1 Manager 2024 to hit the grid in the week starting 29 July 2024.
