Will Forza Horizon 5 be on the Xbox One?

It's been over a year since the arrival of the Xbox Series X & S. The highly powerful new machines will give an experience like nothing else when Forza Horizon 5.

That new level of power means that the Series X can run FH5 in 4K at 60fps, with the Series S hitting 60 fps at 1080p.

But if you haven't been able to get hold of the Xbox Series X|S and are still on Xbox One, will you get to play Forza Horizon 5 at all?

Yes! The game is also available on Xbox One. While it won't be able to hit the graphical heights of the new consoles, you will get to play Forza Horizon 5.

Mike Brown, creative director at Playground Games, has assured fans that the experience will be great across all compatible hardware. "Whichever platform you're playing on—whether it's a base Xbox One, the Xbox One X, or a high-spec PC—you will have a really great experience in the game. It looks great on every platform."

Forza Horizon 4 can run at 4k 30 FPS on the Xbox One X, or at 1080p at 60 FPS. On other Xbox One consoles there is no 4k option. We expect this to be true for Horizon 5 also.

Forza Horizon 5 release date

We don't have long to wait for Forza Horizon 5.

The official release date for Forza Horizon 5 is 9 November, 2021. However, if you pre-order the Premium Edition you can get access to the game from 5 November.
