2024 Toyota GR Corolla Circuit Edition coming to Gran Turismo 7

While we’re still waiting to find out which cars are coming in this month’s Gran Turismo 7 update, one of them may have been revealed early. Several automotive publications are reporting the newly unveiled Toyota GR Corolla Circuit Edition is coming to Gran Turismo 7.

Fans may get to take Toyota's latest hot hatch for a virtual test drive before it goes on sale later this year.

Under the bonnet is a turbocharged 1.6-litre 3-cylinder engine delivering 300 horsepower mated to a six-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel drive system developed by the Gazoo Racing World Rally Championship team.

Further distinguishing the GR Corolla Circuit Edition is its striking Blue Flame exterior colour with matching blue accents on the leather sports seats, stitching, and shifter knob. Standard black forged aluminium 18-inch wheels come as standard.

Developed exclusively for the US market, production is limited to 1,600 units.

When is the Toyota GR Corolla Circuit Edition coming to Gran Turismo 7?

Jalopnik reports that the Toyota GR Corolla Circuit Edition will make its virtual debut in Gran Turismo 7 at an unspecified date. It’s worth noting, though, that Polyphony Digital and Toyota USA have not confirmed this yet.

It’s possible that the Toyota GR Corolla Circuit Edition will be one of the free cars in GT7’s June content update. If so, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi will likely tease its appearance on Twitter this week before the June update presumably rolls out next week.

In GT7, the Corolla Circuit Edition will join other Toyota GR models including the GR Supra, GR Yaris, and GR86. After only appearing in Gran Turismo 7 and Forza Horizon 5 for years, Toyota is finally branching out to other racing games. The Japanese manufacturer will feature in The Crew Motorfest this September with models including the GR Supra and Supra A80.
