GT7 Daily Races 29 May: Alphard again!

A new week brings fresh GT7 Daily Races to Gran Turismo 7. The end of May has also seen a big update to the PlayStation-exclusive racing title.

Update 1.34 has made the previously roulette-exclusive engine swaps available in the GT Auto section. These expensive but wildly fun tuning options will allow player to truly cut loose with their upgrades.

Sport mode has held mostly the same though, but as usual the arrival of Monday means that three new races have hit the online mode. Let's take a look and see what races we will be grinding this week.

Race A

Suzuka - 5 laps

This week's unranked race is a little unusual, as it takes us to Suzuka in Gr.3 cars.

This five-lap race will be contested in any Gr.3 car of your choice and on the Racing Hard tyre. There is 1x fuel consumption and tyre wear, and there will be a rolling start so you will want to qualify well.

Every car will be using a mid-speed BoP, and neither DR or SR will be impacted by your performance in this race.

There is light mechanical damage, along with light shortcut penalties and penalties for collisions.

Race B

Monza - 4 laps

The first ranked race of the week is a specific car race that sees players take the Alphard Executive Lounge '18 to the Temple of Speed.

Four laps of Monza will be raced on the Sports Hard tyre with 1x fuel consumption and tyre wear, and perhaps the slowest lap times the famous old track has ever seen. There will also be a grid start just to add to the turn 1 chaos.

Everyone will be using a high-speed BoP, and you should try to keep your nose clean as DR & SR will be affected by incidents in this race.

There is light mechanical damage, along with light shortcut penalties and penalties for collisions.

Race C

Grand Valley - Highway 1 - 10 laps

The final race of this week is a ten-lapper around the Highway 1 layout of Grand Valley. With a twisty, technical sector and the long back straight it is a classic race.

Players will be in Gr.4 cars with the Racing Hard tyres the only mandatory compound. There is no mandatory pitstop, but with tyre wear & fuel consumption both set to 3x and the Racing Medium also available you may want to change boots during this race.

There will be a mid-speed BoP applied to every competitor, and the 16-car field will be using a rolling start. As usual there is light mechanical damage, along with light shortcut penalties and penalties for collisions. There is also a penalty for pitlane line cutting, so if you do make a stop be sure to stay on the correct side of the line!
