The fastest car in Gran Turismo 7 is basically undrivable

We're all enjoying GT7 following its long-awaited release, but there is no doubt that fastest car in Gran Turismo 7 is a handful!

We're all used to putting so many new parts onto a car that it becomes an untameable beast, but it's rare you get one that is a monster straight out of the box. That's what this is. Let's talk about the fastest car in Gran Tursimo 7!

So, which car are we talking about here then? The SRT Tomahawk X VGT of course! This is the fastest car in GT7 by a country mile.

The Tomahawk produces 2,586 BHP and weighs just 749kg. It's got a max torque of 124.2 kgfm and can hit about 370mph without any tuning. It's truly a beast.

Beyond the ridiculous power, the Tomahawk has active aerodynamics, which means flaps will pop up across the bodywork and tilt as you corner. They will also stand practically upright when you brake, acting as an extra airbrake and making the chase angle look like you are being attacked by an alien.

It's a car you have to drive to believe. But be careful when you do!

On controller it's impossible to be precise with this car. There is a small lag between your steering input and the active aero kicking in. This results in you lining up your entry, turning and then finding yourself spearing the inside barrier as soon as the aero starts to take effect.

And then there is the power. Any bump in the road is magnified. We were getting wheelies going up Raidillon in Spa and any time we took too much kerb.

It's also basically undrivable on a wheel. If you can hold a slight steering angle then it is smooth and planted, but trying to hold it straight is a battle with a wheel. Even with the 5Nm Fanatec GT DD Pro the wheel shakes violently on the straights and it's tought to keep a grip of.

The car is also woeful in slow-speed, tight corners. Hooking it round La Source or the Bus Stop Chicane is a tough test. And you can forget about getting it down the Corkscrew in one piece!

How to get the SRT Tomahawk X VGT

Thankfully, you don't have to do anything special or spend a huge amount of credits to get the SRT Tomahawk VGT.

The fastest car in Gran Turismo 7 can be yours for just one million credits! If you head over to Brand Central, select America, and then click on Dodge.

Head to the Showroom and scroll to the right. There are four Tomahawks all priced at one million, so make sure to get the right one. It's the X VGT, which is the left-most one.
