GTA Online: Cayo Perico Treasure Chests Locations Guide
Grand Theft Auto V has a new DLC and brand new collectables to find on land and in the water.
Grand Theft Auto Online‘s Cayo Perico expansion has recently had more collectables become available to players. Treasure Chests are now littered around the map and two become available to each player each day.
Finding each chest rewards you with $15,000 and 1000 RP. One can be found on land, while the other is in the sea.
The locations of the chests are random, but there are set places where it can appear. In total, there are ten land locations, and nine in the sea. Here’s the complete list!
The first on-land treasure chest we’re covering is the one at the end of Cayo Perico’s runway. Near the red shipping container, you will find the first chest. Specifically, it’s behind this white crate:
The second treasure chest on land can be found near the Northern edge of the map. Drive along the coast and you’ll find a group of rocks in the above location.
There are a few clusters of rocks here, so it is difficult to find, but persevere and it will be there (if this is the day when it spawns in that location).
The third treasure chest location in Cayo Perico is found on the Southern edge of the North-western section of the map. Head to this location and look for three boats marooned on the land.
The chest will be between the blue and white boats.
On the Eastern of the two pieces of land which jolts out from Cayo Perico, you will find the fourth treasure chest.
Behind and to the left of a shack is where the chest is located. It’s difficult to see because of the long grass, but it’s just to the left of some tyres and to the right of a palm tree (visible on the left of the player in the screenshot below).
On the Western edge of the industrial estate, you will find the fifth land chest in Cayo Perico. The chest is located to the left of an oil tank and just in front of some bushes.
The sixth land treasure chest is found near the Northern edge of an inlet on the North of the island. The chest is located on the beach near some marooned boats.
There’s an odd ring road near the centre of the island, and this is where you’ll find land chest number seven. The chest is placed just in front of this bunker (to the right of the player in the screenshot).
Near another ring road, this time in the South of the island, is where the eighth treasure chest on land is located. Head to the South-west of the dirt road, and you’ll find the chest in the grass and near some palm trees.
The penultimate land treasure chest is found on a dirt path in the Southwestern corner of the island. It’s located next to a tall fence and is quite tricky to find, so be patient.
The final land chest location is another industrial area, this time on the Western coast of the central section of the island. The treasure chest is located near a large red crane and next to some wooden crates.
The first underwater treasure chest is sunk to the north of the runway and around two thirds up its length. The chest is found next to a large rock, but finding it is an exercise in patience.
The second underwater treasure chest is found in the centre of the inlet shown above. It’s found in a clearing in the seaweed.
Sea treasure chest number 3 is found between the main island and its islet. Around mid-way between the two and next to rock in a clearing, is where it’s located.
The fourth underwater treasure chest is sunk near the centre of the cape in the north of the map. This one is in the middle of a seaweed patch, so it will take some patience to find.
The fifth underwater chest is located off the North-eastern edge of the island. It’s found near a large rock and is a long way off the coast.
Sea chest #6 is found off the east coast of the island between it and an islet. It’s located in shallow water and outside of the seaweed, which makes it easier to find than most of the chests on this list.
Underwater chest #7 is located in a harbour off the East coast of the island. This is very difficult to find, as it’s right in the middle of a seaweed patch.
The penultimate underwater treasure chest is off the Southwestern coast of the island. This is the hardest to find in the game, as it’s right in the middle of tall seaweed.
The final chest is found in the middle of a harbour on the Western coast of the island. It’s located directly under a boardwalk.
