A recent announcement from Rockstar has confirmed that GTA Online and V will be coming to next-gen consoles later this year.
This arrival on next-gen also comes with various additions to the game, and other exciting enhancements across GTA Online and other Rockstar titles.
So, let's take a look at what us as racers can expect from the latest announced update coming to Los Santos!
New car meets
The main addition, although no details have been fully confirmed just yet, is a new way for car meets to happen.
The content alongside the announcement seems to indicate that there will be a new way for players to organise these meets, and a place for them to meet.
A "new underground car meet" is arriving in Los Santos, along with other additions to the local racing scene. Excitingly, demand for stolen vehicles has never been higher...
Summer Update content
So far, we have some exciting content confirmed for racers. For those who are a fan of Stunt Races, 8 new races are joining the game 27 May. These races will include an assortment of vehicle classes in some awesome new stunts!
Likewise, new arenas are coming to the futuristic Deadline. We know that there will be seven new arenas coming to the mode, and we can't wait to play them.
For those who prefer Survival mode, and wiping wave after wave of armed resistance, then new areas are on they way. These will be throughout both Los Santos and Blaine County.
Next-Gen GTA V and Online
The release date has been confirmed for the latest version of GTA Online and V on next-gen consoles, and this is November 11 this year!
The game will include a number of enhancements to make use of the powerful hardware seen in the consoles, and will also be free as a standalone game on PS5 for three months.
In fact, with GTA III's anniversary coming soon, there will even be some content in GTA Online for players to explore. PlayStation 4 players can also continue to claim their free GTA$1,000,000 each month.
