Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 Will Include Fast & Furious Saga cars

Hot Wheels Unleashed exceeded all expectations last year, so a sequel was always going to be in the works. With more and more cars being announced for Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - Turbocharged, we now have confirmation that cars from the Fast & Furious Saga will feature in the game.

With so many cars from the epic film franchise to choose from, let’s see which vehicles have made the cut.

Fast & Furious cars to appear in Hot Wheels Unleashed 2

Revealed through a high-octane new trailer, the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody will be in Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - Turbocharged from launch. Featuring in the most recent entry in the series, Fast X, the Hellcat will be joined by other cars from the franchise released as post-launch DLC.

This is part of a collaboration between Hot Wheels Unleashed and the Fast & Furious series that saw the first game appear in the latest Fast and Furious film. With new game mechanics including the jump and double jump abilities, players will be able to recreate their favourite Fast and Furious stunts as they race around various tracks.

Hot Wheels movie coming

After the success of the Barbie movie, it’s no surprise to see Mattel announce a series of movies based on other properties will be coming soon. Amongst that list is Hot Wheels. Originally set to be directed by the Fast & Furious’ Justin Lin, the Hot Wheels movie is to be produced by JJ. Abrams.

Although a series of animated Hot Wheels movies have been produced over the years, this will be the first live-action Hot Wheels movie. We may even see more racing films from Mattel, with a Matchbox film also apparently being greenlit.
