How much is iRacing: Price, tracks, subscription & more

There are thousands of new racers joining the community every week and a common question they often ask is just how much is iRacing?

Well, we are here to answer that one for you! iRacing is a racing simulator unlike any other, and as such doesn't have a simple and clear answer to this question.

iRacing subscription

iRacing isn't a traditional game that you buy, it's actually a subscription service much like Netflix or Spotify.

The minimum cost of iRacing is the monthly subscription fee, which is £8.99 via Steam. There are some deals for new players that can reduce this. Steam currently has some introductory offers such as £74.99 for 12 months.

Going directly to iracing.com can get you some better deals though, as they currently have 40% off for new members and offer a two-year plan at $119.40 right now.

What's included in basic membership

Once you sign up you get 16 cars and 22 tracks (with 70 configurations) to go racing on. For many racers that is plenty to get on with.

That's a lot of tracks, but as you can see there are a lot of speedways and dirt varities in there. And there are plenty of big name circuits not included. That's where the cost of iRacing can really get away from you.

Extras

iRacing is a super-high quality racing simulation, and as such any track that gets added comes at an extra cost to unlock. Spa-Francorchamps, Imola, and Brands Hatch all exist in iRacing, but they cost $14.95 EACH to go racing there.

The same goes for extra cars. While the cars that are included with basic membership offer great fun and challenges, if you wanted a Audi R8 LMS GT3 you'd have to fork over another $11.95. Same goes for a Lotus 79 or our favourite the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO.
