CarX Street is coming to PC soon, according to the game's developers CarX Technologies.
CarX Tech has consistently delivered when it comes to their racing titles like CarX Drift Online Racing, and we're sure CarX Street will continue this trend when it comes to PC.
The developers had been keeping us up to date with the progress of Street via their Steam blog and Twitter. After being released on mobile a while ago, the PC version is getting closer all the time.
So, when can we expect the PC version of CarX Street to land? We've got everything you need to know right here!
CarX Street PC
The PC is the one home console we know that CarX Street is being released on. That doesn't mean that CarX Street won't be coming to other consoles such as the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, though.
We know that CarX Street will be released on PC, and is currently out on both iOS and Android mobile devices. CarX Street will be available for early access later this year.
The modding community on PC will ensure that this will be the best version of CarX Street to get involved with. CarX has a dedicated community that will produce a lot of add-ons post-launch.
Mods are almost always free and can add new cars, liveries, and other features into the game.
Early Access
CarX Tech's latest Tweet revealed a lot about CarX Street's PC version. That includes the official teaser trailer for the PC version of the game, which sets up the upcoming battle between the street racers and the police.
If you haven't seen it yet, the teaser trailer is available on CarX Tech's YouTube channel and is below for you to take a look at:
So, when will CarX Street launch on PC? Well, we don't have a defined date yet, but early access will be available via Steam before the end of the year.
With another round of beta testing required before this, we could see early access as early as the summer, but this is unconfirmed.
System requirements
As mentioned before, CarX Street has a Steam page and we know the system requirements for the game.
The minimum requirements for CarX Street upon release is as follows:
- OS: Windows 7, 8, 10
- Processor: Intel i5 4590 or AMD Ryzen3 1200
- Memory: 4 GB RAM
- Graphics: 2 GB (GeForce 950GT / AMD R9 270)
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 2 GB available space
- Sound Card: Sound card compatible with DirectX® 9.0с
The recommended system requirements are of course higher-end. These are pretty reasonable though, as most gaming PCs will be able to achieve these:
- OS: Windows 7, 8, 10
- Processor: Intel® Core™ I5-8300H @ 2.30GHz
- Memory: 8 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 1050GTX 4 Gb
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 4 GB available space
- Sound Card: Sound card compatible with DirectX® 9.0с
These specs have remained the same since the game was originally announced. So, by the time CarX Street actually launches, these will likely be significantly higher, as gaming PC technology has moved on significantly in this time.
What would CarX Street look like on max settings?
On max settings, we imagine that CarX Street will run in crystal clear 4K resolution and at 60 frames per second frequency. With this being PC, perhaps it could go up to 120 fps, if your system and monitor could handle that.
Something that PC gamers would miss out on though, is the haptic feedback which PS5 uses to great effect. The DualSense controller is the only one with haptic feedback on this level. Even the Series X's controller doesn't have better vibration capabilities than the DualSense.
Whether Street would utilise features such as 3D audio isn't clear either, but the game will sound great regardless.
