CarX Street is coming later this year and we're so excited for it! CarX Technologies have consistently delivered when it comes to their racing titles like CarX Drift Online Racing, and we're sure Street will continue this trend.

The developers have been keeping us up to date with the progress of Street via their Steam blog. Something that hasn't been revealed yet though is whether CarX Street will be coming to the Xbox Series X. So, let's go over what we've heard so far and what we can expect in September.

CarX Street on Series X

We haven't heard anything official from CarX Technologies regarding CarX Street coming to the Xbox Series X. We know that Street will be coming to PC, but beyond that, nothing else has been mentioned.

Now, that doesn't mean that CarX Street won't be coming to Series X. Technically, CarX Tech haven't mentioned anything about Street being on PC either. We only know that it will be because it's already got a Steam page. So, with seven months to go until release date, we could get a pleasant surprise.

NEXT-GEN LOOKS: Street would find a good home on the Series X

After all, CarX Drift Racing Online did get a berth on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Although, this was three years after Drift was released on PC. However, CarX Tech have expanded significantly since then, so a later release may only be a year after the PC launch, rather than three.

Whether a modding community would be implemented on Xbox also isn't clear. That is possible on this system nowadays though, as series like Fallout have used it to great effect.

Next-gen features

If CarX Street was launched on Series X, it would make full use of the system's capabilities. For a start, Street would run in crystal clear 4K resolution and at 60 frames per second frequency.

ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL: CarX's environments would look stunning on Series X

Something that Xbox gamers would miss out on though, is the haptic feedback which PS5 uses to great effect. The Series X's controller does have better vibration capabilities compared to its predecessor, but not on the level of the DualSense.

Whether Street would utilise features such as 3D audio isn't clear either, but the game will sound great regardless.

Could CarX Street come to the One as well?

Despite the Series X turning two years old this year, even the largest games are still being released on the Xbox One. It's possible that this will still be the case come September when Street launches. This is due to the global shortage of PS5 and Series X consoles, which isn't going away anytime soon.

Even if that isn't the case, the One will still be receiving Indie releases for a long time yet. This is because developers know the hardware and it's also cheaper to make a Xbox One game than one for Series X. So, with that in mind, CarX will likely release for both the One and Series X if the game comes out on the latter system.

THE GOOD OLD DAYS: Will CarX give Xbox gamers a chance to enjoy CarX again?

Again, we haven't heard anything from CarX Tech to deny this, but nor have we heard anything to the contrary either.

CarX Street release date

CarX Street is due to launch on PC on 8th September 2022. This is a worldwide release date, so it'll be the same wherever you are. Like we said, if CarX Street doesn't come to PS5 nor Xbox at this time, it could be a year or a few years until it becomes available on this system.
