Disney Speedstorm is now in early access, giving players a first look at Disney’s new family-friendly kart racer. This is just the beginning though. Season updates will expand the game with new characters, kicking off with Disney Speedstorm Season 1.

Disney Speedstorm Season 1
Disney Speedstorm Golden Pass Seasons contain season-based challenges allowing you to earn free and premium rewards. These include Disney and Pixar characters, karts, tracks, and more.
Disney Speedstorm Season 1 is out now, so you can start unlocking new characters right away.
As for the Golden Pass rewards, Season 1 has a Monsters Inc. theme including Sulley, Mike Wazowski, Randall Boggs, and Celia Mae as unlockable characters along with a track called The Factory inspired by the Monsters Inc. films.
Figment the dragon was also added to Disney Speedstorm Season 1. If you’re unfamiliar with this character, Figment is a character from Walt Disney World rather than a Disney film or TV show.
New Seasons will launch every six to eight weeks, so we can expect Season 2 to start around June. We can look forward to more characters being added over the coming months, as Disney has already confirmed Steamboat Mickey will join the cast in Season 2.
How to unlock the Golden Pass
Before you can start earning characters in Disney Speedstorm Seasons, you need to unlock the Golden Pass. To do this, you need to complete the first five Starter Circuit races in Chapter One: Meet Mickey Mouse.
After you complete the fifth race in Chapter One on the Bridgeway track, you’ll have access to the Golden Pass.
Disney Speedstorm is out now in early access on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It will eventually be free-to-play on all platforms, but you currently have to buy one of the three Founder's Packs to play it.
