Expeditions: A MudRunner Game is the follow-up to the successful SnowRnner, this time putting you behind the wheel of a scientific expedition.

With you at the head of the convoy, it’s up to you to get the rest of the crew safely across the potentially hazardous terrain ahead of you.

With a wide range of vehicles at your disposal, along with a range of gadgets to survey the route ahead with, you’d think it would be an easy drive across the country. However, that’s not the case.

Treacherous terrain, hidden obstacles, and, of course, the chance of your vehicle breaking down when you need it most make this anything but an easy expedition.

Therefore you’re better off not venturing alone. So will the game support multiplayer when it releases?

Does Expeditions: A MudRunner Game have multiplayer?

For the answer to this question, we have both good news and bad news. The good news is that it will support multiplayer eventually, but the bad news is Expeditions: A MudRunner Game won't have multiplayer at launch.

Instead, a community post confirms that a post-launch update will add co-op multiplayer, allowing you to bring in some much-needed support for that tricky mission. While it’s disappointing to see no multiplayer in the game from the start, at least we have something to look forward to in future releases.

The post-launch update will also be free for all players, so won’t be hidden behind a DLC. Therefore everyone who owns the game can find a crew member to team up with for the next expedition.
