The Crew 2 is one of the defining open-world racing games out there at the moment, and is phenomenal on console and PC.

Free to play

One of the most exciting bits of news from Ubisoft is the fact that the game is going free to play for an entire weekend, from 8th July until 12th July.

This means that players on PS4, PS5, Epic Games Store and PC will be able to download the game for free, and play it, for the full weekend.

If you're still looking for a chance to experience the game, then next weekend looks like your best bet.

Excitingly for those that are fans of the game after the free to play game, The Crew 2 will be 80% off until 23rd July.

This means you'll have the chance to pick the game up for a much lower price, and jump online with your friends in the open-world title.

The Season Pass will also have a huge 80% price reduction, meaning you can experience the game's content to the fullest.

Editions changes

The Special Edition of The Crew 2 will now replace the current Deluxe Edition.

This comes with the Digital Special Pack which includes the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Interception Unit and the Porsche 911 Speedster.

The Digital Special Pack will also be added to The Crew 2 Gold Edition, meaning that even more players can get the extra free content.
