If you're looking to find out where to watch and stream the Spanish MotoGP 2023 round, you've come to the right place!
MotoGP heads back to Europe two weeks after the Americas GP in the USA. MotoGP's record-breaking 2023 season continues at Jerez for the Spanish Grand Prix.
Spain has more MotoGP rounds than any other nation, with Jerez being the first of three rounds in the country in 2023. Jerez is a pure motorcycle racing circuit and a serious challenge for all riders.
Spain brings us back to Europe with more session times than we're more used to with MotoGP. Here's everything you need to know about the 2023 Spanish MotoGP sessions.
Where to watch & stream Spanish MotoGP 2023
Spain has always been one of the ancestral homelands of motorcycle racing. Spaniards have been ever-present in MotoGP and the Iberian kingdom has produced some of the best motorcycle riders of all time.
In the MotoGP era alone, Marc Marquez, Jorge Lorenzo, Joan Mir and Alex Criville have all won MotoGP titles. Spain has had multiple MotoGP rounds for decades now, but the Spanish GP has remained at Jerez.
Jerez has hosted every Spanish MotoGP round since 1989, with Jarama hosting the event before that. Montjuic in Barcelona has also played host to the Spanish MotoGP with the event going all the way back to 1950.
When it comes to the most successful riders in the Spanish MotoGP, there are some familiar names who come out on top. Angel Nieto has the most wins ever with 11, but if you only count MotoGP/500cc wins, it's Valentino Rossi on top with seven.
Other multiple winners include Lorenzo (3), Dani Pedrosa (3), Wayne Gardner (3) and Kenny Roberts (3). Winners on the current grid include Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller and Marc Marquez.
But where can you watch and stream the Spanish MotoGP 2023? Let's find out!
UK
We'll begin with the UK, where all sessions will be shown live on BT Sport. BT Sport is the only channel to see all sessions of the 2023 season live in the UK.
With Spain only being an hour ahead of the UK's time zone, session times are very sociable for this race. Here's the full list:
- Practice 1: 9:45 - 10:30, Friday 28 April
- Practice 2: 14:00 - 15:00, 28 April
- Free Practice & Qualifying: 9:10 - 10:30, Saturday 29 April
- Sprint: 14:00, 29 April
- Race: 14:00, Sunday 30 April
You'll also be able to catch the highlights of the Sprint and the Race on ITV 1/4 later in the night on their respective days.
USA
MotoGP coverage in the United States is on NBC. Unfortunately, only the Americas GP is shown live on NBC in the USA in 2023, so you'll need to catch the Spanish GP at a later time.
However, with the race starting at 9 am on the east coast and 6 am on the west coast, this isn't such a bad thing. Other sessions including the sprint race and qualifying won't be shown on TV in the USA.
The Spanish GP will be shown on CNBC at 3 pm Eastern time on Sunday 30 April.
Australia
Australian MotoGP fans will need to be up very late to catch the Spanish Grand Prix live. While it's not as bad as some rounds, an 11 pm start time for the race on the east coast isn't an easy watch.
The FOX network will be covering the 2023 MotoGP live in Australia.
All times are in Australian Eastern Standard Time (UTC +10).
