Where to watch & stream IndyCar Long Beach 2023: Channels, countries, start time, sessions & more

Indycar got underway in 2023 with the Grand Prix of St Petersburg in Florida before heading to the Texas Motor Speedway. The Long Beach Grand Prix is one of the oldest races on the IndyCar calendar, going back to the 1980s.

The circuit is high-speed, but has walls lining its entire lap, meaning that all mistakes are punished. With California being eight hours behind the UK, viewers in Europe will have to content with some unsociable hours.

Where to watch & stream the Long Beach Grand Prix IndyCar 2023

The Long Beach Grand Prix has been on the IndyCar calendar every year since 1984. The event goes back even further than that though, having originally being on the Formula 1 calendar since 1976.

The race has been an eventful one for both categories, as drivers push to, and occasionally beyond, the limits of their cars.

When it comes to the most successful drivers in Long Beach during the CART/IndyCar era, there are a few familiar names that have won the most races. Al Unser Jr. holds the records for wins here with six.

The Great Mario Andretti won four Long Beach Grands Prix, three of them coming in CART. Other repeat winners include Sebastian Bordais (3), Michael Andretti (2) and Alex Zanardi (2).

On the current grid, Alex Rossi and Will Power are the only repear winners, with two each. Colton Herta and Josef Newgarden are the two most recent winners, in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

UK

We'll begin with the UK, where all sessions will be shown live on Sky Sports F1 . Sky Sports F1 will be the only channel to see all sessions of the 2023 season live in the UK.

With the west coast of the US being eight hours behind the UK, the sessions will take place in the evening and night:

USA

IndyCar coverage in the United States is on NBC. NBC has IndyCar coverage via its streaming service Peacock as well as the USA Network. Additionally, IndyCar's streaming service also has live coverage for subscribers.

The session times will be quite sociable wherever you are in the USA. The sessions will take place in the morning and early afternoon, whether you're on the East or West coast. All times are in Eastern Standard Time (UTC -5)

Australia

Australian IndyCar fans never have it easy, but this weekend is easier than normal. The sessions are on so late that they bleed into the next morning.

Stan Sport are the broadcasters of IndyCar this season in Australia. All times are in Australian Eastern Standard time (UTC +10).

Practice: 9:00 - 10:15, Saturday 15 April

Practice 2: 2:45 - 3:45 Sunday 16 April

Qualifying: 6:05 - 7:20, 16 April

Germany

In Germany, Sky Sport will show all sessions live as usual for the IndyCar Long Beach Grand Prix. All showtimes are in CET (Central European Time, UTC+1):

France

Like most sport in France, Canal+ have the rights to IndyCar coverage. The French coverage of the 2023 Long Beach Grand Prix includes practice, qualifying and the race itself.
