If you’re looking for an alternative to Monster Energy Supercross 5, MX vs ATV Legends lands on consoles and PC in May. Like many modern game releases, there are multiple premium editions to choose from with pre-order bonuses and extra content.
Now, THQ Nordic has revealed a Collector’s Edition of MX vs ATV for hardcore fans of the off-road racing series.
MX vs ATV Legends Collector’s Edition costs $150
Available only for PS4 and Xbox One, the MX vs ATV Legends Collector’s Edition's party piece is an 8.5-inch statue of the 2021 Yamaha YZ450F motocross bike, which comes with a rider.
In addition, you also get a Motorbike Sprocket Keychain, five art prints, and a Customisation DLC Pack, as well as a copy of the game on PS4 or Xbox One.
A PC, PS5 or Xbox Series X|S version of the Collector’s Edition isn't available, however.
UK availability is not confirmed, but the MX vs ATV Legends Collector’s Edition can be preordered in the US for $149.99.
DLC not included
Despite the steep price, the MX vs ATV Legends Collector’s Edition is missing DLC bundled in other editions.
The Leader Pack includes a season pass adding 22 tracks spread across three packs, while the Icon Pack includes the Leader Pack content plus 36 extra vehicles.
Frustrated fans have criticised the decision to not include all DLC in the Collector’s Edition.
Responding to comments on Twitter, the developer says the cost “would be wild” if all DLC was included. Instead, the Collector’s Edition is “an option for players that would rather have the memorabilia than the DLC.”
MX vs ATV Legends release date
MX vs ATV Legends is releasing on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on 24 May. The PS4 version includes a free PS5 upgrade.
