Get your Hot Wheels Unleashed design turned into a real Hot Wheels car!

Hot Wheels Unleashed was one of the unexpected hits of the year, not just for racers but for gaming in general.

The game got 78 on Metacritic, but a user score of 8.2 which is spectacular.

Now, Mattel and Milestone are giving players the chance to have their Hot Wheels Unleashed design turned into an actual die-cast Hot Wheels toy!

Hot Wheels Unleashed Design Battle

We've all tried to create an amazing car with in-game livery editors. While some painters out there have the patience and talent to make truly amazing designs, others (like us!) do not. Well, now Mattel and Milestone are rewarding the creativity of the players.

The Design Battle will run for a month, from 14 January to 14 February, with participants being asked to create a design for the Hot Wheels Rodger Dodger die-cast model. The winning entrant will have their design turned into a real 1:64 Hot Wheels toy that will be available for purchase around the world in December.

This is perhaps the coolest competition we will see all year, and definitely has the best prize. Who hasn't wanted to see their own in-game designs come to life?

The winner will be chosen by a group of Mattel's own design team. Which includes Ted Wu, VP and Global Head of Vehicle Design.

With over 8 billion cars sold in the 50+ year history of Hot Wheels, this is an amazing opportunity for someone. Will it be you?

How to enter

To enter the contest, designers need to fire up Hot Wheels Unleashed and go to the section dedicated to the livery editor.

There they can click on the banner that is dedicated to the Design Battle. You'll need to opt-in and confirm your participation and accept the terms & conditions.

There is instructions on screen to submit your design when finished. It's simple!
