The popular Neon Nights event is returning to Rocket League in Season 9, celebrating the music of the popular car football game.
Now, Psyonix has revealed what players can look forward to in this year's Neon Nights event, from new challenges and items to the return of two Limited Time Modes (LTMs).
Rapper Cochise comes to Rocket League Neon Nights
Running from 25 January to 7 February, the Neon Nights event sees Psyonix partner with rapper Cochise, best known for his hit song “Tell Em.”
A selection of Cochise-themed items can be unlocked by completing Event Challenges. These include his songs “Turn it Up” and “Long Way” as Player Anthems, along with the Inspection Decal, Mr. Professor Wheels, and more.
Golden Moons will also be rewarded to unlock items from the Zephyr, Victory, and Overdrive Item Series.
Cochise fans can also buy his “Pocket Rocket” song as a Player Anthem in the Item Shop for 200 Credits.
Throughout the event, the Cochise Antenna and The Inspector Player Title will be available for free.
Spike Rush and Speed Demon LTMs return
Two new LTMs are also returning for the Neon Nights event: Spike Rush and Speed Demon.
In Spike Rush, player cars have spikes that stick to the ball when driving into it. This 3v3 LTM will be live from 25 January to 7 February.
Live from 1-7 February, Speed Demon is a fast-paced mode where Boost is unlimited and double the power, while the ball is larger and moves faster but is less bouncy.
