When it comes to hardcore motorsports, they don't come much more raw than the World Rally Championship. That's reflected in the official video game series as well, with WRC 10 being a shining example.
WRC 11 is all set to be launched later this year, but when exactly can we expect it? We've got everything you need to know right here!
WRC's usual slot
We haven't had confirmation of WRC 11's release date yet, but we do know that it will be the last for current developers Kylotonn. Kylotonn have had the WRC franchise since WRC 5 in 2015 and will be sorely missed.
However, with Codemasters taking up the WRC mantle from 2023, we're very excited to see what the future holds!
As for WRC 11 though, we expect it to be launched in sometime in early September. This would continue the trend that WRC 10 and WRC 9 set for the series.
We see little reason for this to change for WRC 11. This will also set WRC 11 to release around the Belgian and Greek rallies.
Consoles
WRC 11 will be launched on all systems at the same time, but which consoles will these be?
Well, like the release date itself, this hasn't been confirmed yet, but we can take an educated guess. At the moment, racing games are still being released on both the next and old-gen systems.
MotoGP 22 is the current example we can use here, as this is being released later this month and is still on PS4 and Xbox One. Whether games like F1 2022 are still on old-gen will be a very telling sign for WRC 11.
However, regardless of this, WRC 11 will still be launching on PS5, Series X|S and PC.
