Farming Simulator 25 is nearly here, and as we gear up for planting season once again there are a handful of things we are excited for in the new game.

With three years between releases, Giants Software has time to make major upgrades and completely overhaul its agricultural world. As a result, they have confirmed some amazing new additions to the game this year. These are the ones we are most excited about.

Third Person View

It sounds simple, but after years of trying to plow straight furrows and reverse through tight gates in first person, the addition of a third-person view will add a lot to Farm Sim 25.

From panoramic views of your field to just driving around town and enjoying the new maps or taking in your latest machinery in all its glory, the addition of third-person will make the game much, much better.

Eastern Bound

There are a few new maps this year, but the most exciting is an Asian map. This, in combination with the addition of rice as a crop, will allow for a different style of play. You can move away from the massive automation and focus on traditional methods.

Not too much is known about the Asian map just yet, but we do know you can flood rice fields. This should mean that other Asian styles of farming are also possible, adding a new layer of options for players.

Giants Engine 10

This "general tech upgrade" is going to take Farm Sim 25 to a whole other level. With dynamic weather, distance fog, and ground deformation to name just a few improvements, the whole feel of the game should be much better.

The atmosphere of your farm will improve dramatically with better lighting, including at night, while rain effects and water physics will make for massive boost to immersion.
