After that, the Challengers Pack DLC will be released between November and the end of this year. As for why the update is taking so long, Kunos Simulazioni explained that replicating the PC version’s physics updates requires unique coding for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and isn’t just a simple copy and paste job.

“We appreciate that this timeline requires patience and we want to thank you in advance for having that level of patience with us,” Kunos Simulazioni wrote. “We want to deliver the best possible product to you and we believe this is the timeframe that allows us to do it.

Improved physics

The update will be worth the wait. Update 1.8 will bring an updated tyre model with more realistic tyre wear, grip levels, and temperature windows. Improvements will also be made to the traction control simulation and suspension model.
