Cyberpunk 2077's teething issues are slowly becoming a thing of the past.
With that said, our eyes are turning to the Cyberpunk 2077 feature we all secretly desire... Multiplayer.
Much like GTA or Red Dead Redemption, we can't wait for a multiplayer mode in Cyberpunk. Let's take a look at what we know so far!
Mutliplayer
We know that the game is supposed to have a multiplayer aspect to it, we're just not certain when.
Supposedly, during an investors call last January, players shouldn't expect multiplayer until 2022.
Whilst this may seem like a long wait, with the expected lifespan of the game, it will be nothing in the grand scheme of things!
Modes and Gameplay
For the multiplayer aspect of their game, CDPR has looked elsewhere for help. This means hiring Digital Scapes to help out.
This is the team behind Dying Light's 'Be The Zombie' PvP mode, so it could give us an insight into what multiplayer will look like on CP2077.
With that said, chances are we will see some sort of a PvP mode, as well as, hopefully for us, street racing.
Racing
As is our right, we're praying for some form of street racing in multiplayer.
Much like GTA Online's vast network of races and cars, as well as modification, we know CDPR could do us justice.
The size of the team, CDPR plus Digital Scapes shows the size of the multiplayer game they're aiming for.
Hopefully, this should bode well for some sort of a street racing element. Really, we just want to see the fastest car in the game and Porsche 911 Turbo face off...
Delays
As with the release of the game itself, there may be delays to the multiplayer.
For players to have an enjoyable multiplayer experience, the game must be in a fully playable state.
As such, we won't be surprised if the multiplayer release for the game is somewhat behind schedule.
We would rather be street racing in cars that work perfectly as opposed to like this!
