GTA Online Weekly Update LIVE: 7 January 2021 - Podium Car, GTA$, Discounts

A new year has arrived but that won't stop Rockstar, who is dropping another GTA Online update on 7 January.

This fresh update should bring a lot of discounts and deals for players, as well as some new content to enjoy around Los Santos.

GTA Online update patch notes

The update patch notes are finally filtering out.

Thanks to a reddit thread by u/Call_Me_Tsuikyit we know what is coming in this weeks update.

This GTA Online update comes hot on the heels of the amazing Cayo Perico heist.

It should arrive on Thursday 7 January, around 5am ET / 10am GMT, which sets players up perfectly for a weekend of fun in Los Santos.

Podium vehicle

The new podium car is the amazing Paragon R!

The Paragon R is normally close to 1 million GTA$ so the chance to get it for free can't be missed.

The Weevil is also now $652,500 while the Longfin is $1,593,750.

The first update in 2021 also sees plenty of discounts on items and content within the game.

For Petrolheads that means some amazing GTA cars are now available on the cheap!

Here's the discounts we know about so far:

• Cyclone - $1,134,000
• Visione - $1,350,000
• RO-86 Alkonost - $2,446,875
• Annihilator Stealth - $2,176,875
• Valkyrie - $1,710,000
• Havok - $1,038,000
• Hangers - 35% discount
• Hangar Renovations - 35% discount

There are also some double and even triple GTA$ events that you can use to pad your bank balance, while bonus RP will also be available.

Double & Triple GTA$/RP

Air Freight activities now pay double GTA$ and RP.

Meanwhile, Motor Wars is the TRIPLE GTA$ and RP event this week. So if you need some extra funds in your Maze bank account then you know where to go!

A new time trial has also come into the GTA Online world.

Time Trial

This week's time trial is Casino! With a par time of 1 minute exactly it's a tricky one to get right. Thankfully there is this handy video guide.

The RC Bandito time trial is also a tough one. This week it is around Cypress Flats with a par time of 1:30.00.

Twitch Prime bonuses

Finally there are some solid Twitch Prime bonuses for those of you that link your accounts.
