What are Charged Skills in Disney Speedstorm? Those that are new to the Disney-Pixar arcade racing game may be wondering this. Charged Skills is something that even more experienced racers may not be aware of.
Disney Speedstorm has been available and free-to-play for a while now, so there's no better time than now to pick the game up! Speedstorm is constantly being expanded with new seasons-worth of content being regularly added.
Here's everything you need to know about Speedstorm's Charged Skills!
Disney Speedstorm - What are Charged Skills?
Charged Skills is a method of using what are known as either Skills or Power-ups in Disney Speedstorm.
Skills are special abilities that can be used by Speedstorm characters during a race and these can be found by driving into Arbee logos (Speedstorm's AI) around a circuit.
Like any arcade racer such as Mario Kart, these power-ups can make or break your race and you'll need to use them correctly in order to gain an advantage over your opponents.
There are three ways to use abilities in Disney Speedstorm, the normal way, backwards and Charged, the third of which is what we're interested in today.
How to use Charged Skills
Using a skill in a charged way is really simple. If you hold Triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox or the up arrow on keyboard and then release, you'll use your skill in its charged form.
When it comes to the skills themselves, there are a lot available in Speedstorm. To keep things simple, we'll focus on the skills that aren't related to star levels.
- Boost - Gives you a nitro boost.
- Fire - Makes a fiery aura, in its charged form, this will cause a fiery explosion around your vehicle.
- Shot - Fires a ricocheting spikey projectile out from your vehicle. Its charged form will make it guided.
- Hack - Fires a bouncing projectile out from your vehicle. In its charged form, it'll be guided towards your opponent.
- Cloak - Makes you invisible. In its charged form, you'll shock nearby opponents when you re-appear.
- Rush - Jump forwards down the track.
- Bomb - Throw a bomb at an opponent. Its charged form allows you to throw this further.
- Shield - Protects you from being hit by an opponent. Charge to shock nearby opponents.
