EA Sports WRC PS5 is one of the best ways to play the new World Rally Championship game. Codemasters' first-ever official WRC game will be released soon, but what will it look like on PS5?
We've got everything you need to know about EA Sports WRC on PS5 right here!
EA Sports WRC PS5
EA Sports WRC will be released on the current-gen systems of the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC via the Steam, EA and Epic Stores.
However, EA Sports WRC won't be available on the old-gen systems of the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. So, whether you're playing on PlayStation or another console family, you'll need to upgrade to next-gen if you haven't already.
On PS5, EA Sports WRC will run in 4K resolution and target 60fps. In a Reddit post, EA confirmed that “some parts of the game will use different or dynamic resolutions for optimisation purposes” Graphics are said to be “essentially equivalent to High settings on PC” on PS5.
The 2023 WRC on PS5 will look incredible, thanks to the full 4K resolution and 60 fps refresh rate. Remember that you need a monitor or TV with a Hz rating and 4K resolution to experience that.
Also, on PS5, the haptic feedback will be incredible on the DualSense controller. You'll feel the difference in every corner on surfaces like gravel, snow and tarmac.
Car Builder
We've already gone in-depth with what we can expect for EA Sports WRC's Car Builder, but we'll summarise what we know so far. This wasn't a feature in previous games developed by Kylotonn; it's brand new for the new series.
The Car Builder will allow players to build their legacy by creating their rally car. The vehicle's chassis, body shell and mechanical elements can be selected.
Of course, superficial elements of the car, such as its exterior, interior and livery, can also be changed to your liking.
Car and tracks list
You can check out the game's complete car list here, but we'll summarise the highlights here. EA Sports WRC is confirmed to have ten real-world cars from the WRC, WRC 2 and Junior WRC series.
Like previous games, there will also be classic rally cars included too. These are made up of 68 racers from over 60 years of rallying action.
As for the tracks, there are 18 locations available from around the world. This will include the current calendar's roster and classic rallies that have sadly been consigned to the history books.
There are also fictional locations included such as Pacifico, Mediterraneo and Oceania. It'll be very interesting to see what Codemasters can do with a blank canvas and no restraints.
Gameplay Trailer & Release Date
EA Sports WRC will be released worldwide on all systems on 31st October for gamers that have pre-ordered the title. For those that haven't pre-ordered, it'll be available from 3rd November.
We've had plenty of trailers since the game was first revealed earlier this year, with the most recent being the below Gameplay Trailer. This really shows off the exhilarating gameplay we can expect to experience in the coming weeks!
